The new INSTANT NOODLES is out, and this time all the pieces were chosen by the members of Old Scratch Press. Despite that, just like every prior issue, there is an amazing sort of serendipity that shows up among the pieces chosen.

Here are two I would like to highlight because, in my view, they are both powerful, and two sides of the same coin, and both of them are also read aloud by their authors.

I offer you:

“Ruined,” by Hildie S. Block.

in contrast to:

“Contraction,” by Gabby Gilliam.

I found myself incredibly moved by both.
