Tara A. Elliott’s poems have appeared, or are forthcoming in MER, The TAOS Journal of International Poetry & Art, Wildness, Triggerfish Critical Review, and The American Journal of Poetry. Tara has been a driving force in bringing poetry to the Eastern Shore of Maryland community, where she lives with her son and husband and teaches English.

As founder and director of Salisbury, Maryland’s Poetry Week, her community outreach includes her service as a facilitator for Salisbury University’s Lighthouse Literary Guild and her co-chairmanship for the 2019 Bay to Ocean Writers’ Conference. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Eastern Shore Writers’ Association. As the recipient of The Light of Literacy Award, and The Maryland Humanities’ Christine D. Sarbanes Teacher of the Year Award, she has been recognized for her outstanding contributions to education.
