Judith Speizer Crandell is an award-winning writer and teacher of fiction, poetry, and nonfiction.
Judith has received residencies at Yaddo, AROHO (A Room of One’s Own), and a Maryland State Arts Council Individual Artist Fellowship for her novel, The Resurrection of Hundreds Feldman. She has performed readings at the New York State Writers Institute, the New York State Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and the Washington, DC, and Cleveland Public Libraries.
A journalist and Washington, DC, speechwriter for nearly twenty years, Judith moved to Milton, DE, in July to be near the ocean and write. Her work has appeared in the DPP anthologies SOLSTICE, EQUINOX, AURORA, and SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY, available at Amazon and other booksellers. Her first novel with DPP, THE WOMAN PUZZLE was published in November 2019 and is available on Amazon, the DPP online store, and at finer bookstores.
In 2020, Judith’s novel, THE WOMAN PUZZLE, took top honors at the Delaware Press Association’s 2020 Communication Awards in the category of best original novel (fiction). On June 14, 2020, she was the featured guest on the Delaware State of the Arts Podcast hosted by Paul Weagraff.
